We were approached by the owner of a furniture business with showrooms in several cities in Ukraine. Because of the need to clarify many details about goods and delivery with clients, the organization of joint work between warehouses and stores was inefficient. Based on the peculiarities of the client’s work, we began to automate the process: from order acceptance to the delivery stage.

The goal of the project is to optimize order processing for a company engaged in distribution and delivery of goods. The main task is to automate order receiving and order fulfillment, including setting up efficient distribution of orders between different warehouses. This includes:

  1. Automating the order intake process from different channels.
  2. Integration of the warehouse management system to accurately track the availability of goods.
  3. Developing a mechanism to intelligently distribute orders to warehouses based on their geographical location and availability.
  4. Setting up an intelligent shipment request planning system that will automatically determine optimal routes and delivery times to maximize logistics efficiency.
  5. Ensuring constant communication between warehouses, logistics and sales departments to improve overall order fulfillment performance.

Work progress

Step 1

CRM integration for the client: We set up a business process where the manager, communicating with the client, learned the data about the type of delivery (new mail, self-delivery, own delivery), time, address, etc., and accordingly moved the transaction card to the necessary stage in the CRM.

Step 2

Data Collection Automation: The system checked which store the order belonged to and its type. If it was self-delivery or delivery by New Post, the data on lifting to the floor and assembly were not taken into account. If it was delivery from the store, the data was requested from the manager and he entered it into the transaction.

Step 3

Generating tasks for the warehouse: After collecting all the data, the order passed the verification stage and CRM generated a task for the warehouse.

Result

Reduced order processing time: Order processing time is reduced by 50% through automation. Improved order fulfillment accuracy: Order fulfillment accuracy improved by 40% due to better coordination and systematization of processes. Reduced logistics errors: Logistics errors are reduced by 35% due to the automated task allocation process.
